Day 1 (Mombasa–Tsavo West)
Early in the morning you will be picked up by your driver at the airport. He will brief you about the rest of the safari. After the briefing you will make your way along the Mombasa – Nairobi highway to the entrance of Tsavo West National Park. You will have a stop somewhere so that you can stretch your legs and perhaps have something to drink. Then you’ll continue your way to the park, where you will start your first game drive upon entry.
Around noon you slowly drive towards your hotel to check in and have lunch. After lunch you’ll have the opportunity to relax a bit. Late in the afternoon you’ll head out again for your evening game drive until the sun starts to set. You’ll have the chance to freshen up before you sit down for dinner.
Day 2 (Tsavo West – Amboseli)
This morning you have to get up early. First you’ll have a good breakfast before you check out and start your morning game drive. By the end of the morning you’ll make your way to the exit of the park. You are now headed to Amboseli National Park. Keep your camera on standby because there is a chance that you’ll see mt. Kilimanjaro. Around noon you’ll arrive at Amboseli National Park, you will head to the hotel first to check in and sit down for a lovely lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to rest a bit and continue your game drive at around 16:00hrs. After the game drive you’ll go to your hotel where you check in and relax until dinner is served.
Day 3 (Amboseli – Tsavo East)
Today you’ll have an early breakfast. After breakfast you check out and start your morning game drive. Mid-morning you drive towards the exit to then continue to Tsavo East National Park. Around lunch time you will arrive at your hotel in Tsavo East National Park. After lunch there will be an opportunity to relax by the pool or just relax in your room. Late in the afternoon you’ll head out for an evening game drive in this beautiful park.
Day 4 (Tsavo East – Mombasa)
At 06:00hrs, the coffee will be waiting for you in the restaurant. This morning you’ll have an early morning game drive. After your morning game drive you’ll go back to your hotel for breakfast. Then check out the hotel and proceed with your morning game drive. Around noon you will exit the park and drive to Voi. In Voi you will enjoy a delicious lunch, after which you’ll head to Mombasa where the driver will drop you at your hotel.
Dag 5-7 (Mombasa)
Enjoy a couple of days of relaxation at Voyager Beach resort. Make use of the many hotel facilities this hotel has to offer. Take a nice walk on the beach, go for a swim in the swimming pool or have a nice cocktail in their Swahili lounge.
Day 8 (Mombasa tour)
After breakfast you’ll be picked up at your hotel at 08:00hrs for a half-day city tour of Mombasa. A city guide will be provided for you to inform you about the history of Mombasa city.
Some of the attractions you’ll visit include:
- Akamba woodcarvings
- A Hindu temple
- The landmark of Mombasa ‘The tusks’
- The Likoni ferry
- The historical monument ‘Fort Jesus’
- And the old town of Mombasa
Afterwards you’ll be dropped at the hotel for lunch. After lunch you can relax.
Dag 9-10 (Mombasa)
Another couple of days of relaxation at your hotel. Just relax and recharge at the pool.
Dag 11 (Wasini Island)
You will be picked up from you residence at 6:00hrs in the morning. You will drive to the Southern part of the coast. To reach the Southern part of the coast you will have to use a ferry along the way. After the ferry you will drive towards Shimoni town, where you will board on a boat.
After boarding you will have a boat ride for about an hour/hour and half to Kisite Mpunguti Island. During the boat ride you will have to try your luck and sport the dolphins. Once you have arrived at the Island you will have the chance to swim/snorkel for a little while. Enjoy the underwater scenery and be amazed by the beauty that is hidden in the water.
After the swim you will go back on the boat and head to Wasini Island where you will have lunch. After lunch you will have the chance to visit Wasini village. After the village you will go back on the boat and sail back to the mainland. Once you have set for on the mainland again you will start your journey back to Mombasa.
Dag 11-13 (Mombasa)
Another couple of days of relaxation at your hotel. Just relax and recharge at the pool or take a taxi and visit the nearest mall.
Dag 14 (Mombasa – Home)
Depending on the time of your flight you will be picked from your hotel by a driver. He will take you to the airport so you can catch your flight home.
