superlight safarisVisit Bomas of Kenya during the week days for an elaborate cultural Tour of the ‘various Kenyan villages’ built at the Bomas of Kenya. Each ‘village’ or arrangement of the homestead is fashioned as per the specific community. After the Cultural Village Tour, get entertained to the cultural dances. The songs are drawn from different communities. Bomas of Kenya is located south west of Nairobi 10kms from the City Centre. The word ‘Bomas’ means ‘homestead’. It is a representation of Kenya’s cultural heritage.

The numerous traditional songs that are danced each day from 1430 hours to 1700 hours are drawn from different communities in Kenya. The dance entertainments take place in the Main Bomas Hall. Thereafter one can take a walk to the traditional arts under the trees to eastern direction of the Main Boma Hall. These huts are symbolic of the Kenyan traditional homesteads. The site of each homestead make one understand the diversity of Kenyan cultures and the village life. At the Bomas there is great excitement. A variety of traditional souvenirs are sold and you may be lucky to taste Kenyas specialty – the traditional dishes.
