Day 1: Nairobi - Lake Elementaita
Pick up from Nairobi and drive through the scenery of Kenya’s Great Rift Valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park, which is famous for the spectacular pink flamingos that gather on its salt encrusted shores as well as for other bird species including African fish eagles and pelicans.
The woodland and grassland surrounding the soda lake are home to an abundance of animals. Picnic lunch in the park. Continue to Lake Elementaita for dinner and overnight at Sunbird Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Elementaita - Masai Mara Game Reserve
After an early breakfast we continue our safari by heading to the world-famous Masai Mara, arriving for lunch at Keekorok Lodge where we will stay for 2 nights. Afternoon at leisure at the lodge to observe wildlife from the Elephant Deck or at the Hippo Bar which overlooks a waterhole.
Alternatively, enjoy the swimming pool or other optional activities (payable locally) such as the spa or nature walks. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.
Day 3: Explore Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast at the lodge we explore the Masai Mara National Reserve for a day of game-viewing. We will see a wide variety of Kenya’s animals – great and small – such as elephants, buffalo, giraffe and plains game and we will go in search of the big cats for which the Mara is famous.
Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.
Day 4: Masai Mara - Drive to Nairobi
After breakfast we transfer back to Nairobi. Drop off at the international airport for your flight home. Alternatively, fly direct from the Masai Mara to the Kenya coast to relax on the beach for a few days before flying back to Nairobi (optional and at an extra cost).
